Omakase is the highest expression of trust between a guest and their chef. Derived from the Japanese verb makaseru — to entrust — it is an invitation to surrender the menu entirely and allow the itamae to guide you through a personal, seasonal journey.
At ZenSushi, our omakase is not a fixed tasting menu. Each evening is shaped by what arrived at Tsukiji market that morning, the season's finest produce, and the creative instincts of Head Itamae Kenji Tanaka. No two seatings are ever the same.
Guests are seated at our intimate eight-seat counter, where every course is presented directly by the chef. The experience is unhurried, conversational, and deeply personal — a rare connection between artisan and guest that defines the spirit of Japanese hospitality.
